396. Talad Kao Ang Sila has been a market for 133 years since the reign of King Rama III. A lot of the westerners and Bangkok people come to take a vacation there. The name, "Ang Hin" that was called by the local people before being changed to "Ang Sila", which most people are more familiar with and make it more universal. When King Rama V made a trip in Chonburi, he stayed overnight at Ang Sila. According to his majesties' handwriting in the letters dated 9 January 2419, it describes about Ang Sila in an episode that the reason why named it Ang Sila is because there is a land of high hills which has the large paving stones and a oval long pool. The old Ang Sila community is more than 133 years old, so the official unit wants to develop it as a tourist attraction in a form of the traditional markets.
It is a tradition that has inherited from the past. In the past, people believed that if there is not the buffalo race in each year, the disaster will happen such as fire. Such beliefs are true and it is a cause to arranging the buffalo race every year. The race takes place on a twelfth lunar month. (There may be a ritual too.) Hsien Temple, or "Enkusol Sala" was built to celebrate King Rama IX’s 60th Birthday. The building is shaped as a traditional Chinese temple with 3 floors. There are more than 60 rock carved statues from China. The hall at downstair is a replica of the China Palace Hall. At the second floor, there are a statue of Lue Tong Ping who is one of eight members of Taoism, the statues of Chinese emperors, the statues of 18 Shaolin monks, and other statues which show Chinese lifestyle. In the highest floor, there is the replica of Phra Buddha Shinaraj which is the principle Buddha image in this temple. The visitors will be surprised by the grand architecture of Thai-Chinese style. This place collects the high Chinese architecture and arts. It was built in 1987 to celebrate King Rama IX’s 60th Birthday. Inside, there are many ancient things such as big image of Guan Yin made of white jade, the statues of Chinese soldiers and horses from the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, the golden imperial throne, old paintings and pottery. Ya Na Sung Wa Ra Raam Temple is located on Huay Yai Sub-District, Bang La Mung Distrint, Chonburi Province. It was established on February 21, 1980 and was announced in royal granting of the land in 1982.

Wat Khao Phra Bart is on the top of Phra Bart Mountain. There are many interesting things here. Wat Koh Loi, located on Koh Loi village, has a land area of more than 8 rai. This temple was set up in 1876 by Lao people who immigrated from Wiang Jan. They set up many villagers such as Baan Neun Thon, Baan Nhong Tam Loeng, Baan Phan Thong, Baan Cherd and Baan Hua Tha Nhon. The carved Buddha image at Chee Chan Mountain is one of symbols of Chonburi. It was carved with laser technique on the cliffs of Chee Chan Mountain. It is Buddha image in Sukhothai style mixed with Lanna style with 130 meters height and 70 meters width. It was built in 1996 to honor the King Rama IX. The Buddha image contains the relics of Lord Buddha. The carved Buddha image which is world-biggest Buddha image attracts the visitors to travel here. 396. Talad Kao Ang Sila has been a market for 133 years since the reign of King Rama III. A lot of the westerners and Bangkok people come to take a vacation there. The name, "Ang Hin" that was called by the local people before being changed to "Ang Sila", which most people are more familiar with and make it more universal. When King Rama V made a trip in Chonburi, he stayed overnight at Ang Sila. According to his majesties' handwriting in the letters dated 9 January 2419, it describes about Ang Sila in an episode that the reason why named it Ang Sila is because there is a land of high hills which has the large paving stones and a oval long pool. The old Ang Sila community is more than 133 years old, so the official unit wants to develop it as a tourist attraction in a form of the traditional markets.

Wat Koh Loi, located on Koh Loi village, has a land area of more than 8 rai. This temple was set up in 1876 by Lao people who immigrated from Wiang Jan. They set up many villagers such as Baan Neun Thon, Baan Nhong Tam Loeng, Baan Phan Thong, Baan Cherd and Baan Hua Tha Nhon. Those people helped construct the temple in order to be the place people can make merits. Since the location of the temple was a mound with a basin of a river surrounded, so villagers call it “Koh Loi” (a floating island). The temple’s name, therefore, comes from the name of village. This temple has been developed continuingly and was announced in royal granting of the land on October 9, 1981.

The biggest Buddha image in Chonburi is located at the hill near Khao Pra Tamnak. It was built with the delicate architecture in 1977. It is called by local people as “Luang Phor Yai” or “Pra Buuddha Sukhothai Walaichonlatharn”. The staircase to the image is a beautiful seven-headed serpent. The Construction began in 2499 B.E. by the request of the Chonburi fishermen because there is no public fishing boats parking in Pattaya.

The carved Buddha image at Chee Chan Mountain is one of symbols of Chonburi. It was carved with laser technique on the cliffs of Chee Chan Mountain. It is Buddha image in Sukhothai style mixed with Lanna style with 130 meters height and 70 meters width. It was built in 1996 to honor the King Rama IX. The Buddha image contains the relics of Lord Buddha. The carved Buddha image which is world-biggest Buddha image attracts the visitors to travel here. The surroundings are decorated with beautiful garden to relax. Chee Chan Mountain is in the same direction to Silver Lake vineyard. It is under the protection from the Royal Thai Marine Corps.
